(USING: THE NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION) Ephesians 6:10-12 1Corinthians 4:20 Matthew10:7-8 Matthew 28:18-20 We Are Called to be a Light of Hope in This World Throughout the Bible, God has encouraged His people
allowing the powers of darkness to mold; rule; and reign over our lives and the lives of our loved ones. As children of God, Almighty, who is the sovereign King of kings and Lord of lords, we need to see that we have been called to be active members of God’s family. We’ve been fully equipped for every good work and have been given all the rights and privileges as sons and daughters to represent God’s Kingdom. We’ve been called to closely examine the life and Ministry of Jesus, and to imitate the love and compassion that He showed His people in preaching this Good News in all it’s fullness and power. Because of God’s grace and because of His great love towards those who believe, we have been called to be ambassadors for Christ, representatives of God's kingdom, power, and love in the earth. With the help of the Holy Spirit, who lives within those who believe, we have the ability to overcome every obstacle of the enemy. So it’s important to make every effort to live a life that makes the Kingdom of God attractive, in order to encourage and make the Gospel desirable to those who are not already a part of God’s great family. We’ve also been entrusted with the awesome responsibility of being a light (a lighthouse) of hope in this dark world, to draw in the lost, those who have been blinded by Satan’s lies and who have been held captive by his deceitful schemes in order to fulfill his will. We have been called to preach this Gospel and to redirect those who are of a willing heart into God's presence where they can experience the love of God's forgiveness and the freedom of worshipping and serving the true and living God. EPHESIANS 3:20-21 Supporting Scriptures: The scriptures clearly indicate that the believer is shielded and protected through faith in God's power and through the wonderful name of Jesus. (1 Peter 1:5)
